Zips, one of the biggest carwash chains in the US recently got even bigger. By acquiring Rocket Express Car Wash, Zips hopes to penetrate further into western markets.

Rocket Express Car Wash has five big carwash locations in Idaho and Utah which are known for their length and speed. They were one of the first companies that introduced express lanes. “Clean, shiny and dry within 4 minutes”, is their claim to fame.

Texas

It’s the ninth acquisition by Zips this year. The company that once started in Arkansas now has 226 locations across 22 states. In the last three months, Zips added locations in Minnesota, Kentucky and Texas.
The office in Plano (Texas) now serves as its headquarters, a company spokesman said, but Zips still operates a large office in Little Rock with most of the company’s support team based in Jonesboro.
