Investor Torqx continues Dutch acquisitions
Private investor Torqx just bought the Dutch Wasdas group. After the acquisition of Autowas H2O, Bubbles Carwash and XXL The Hague, this again is a major take over. Wasdas has four branches, in the north and east of The Netherlands.
The founders of Wasdas will remain involved with the company, a press release stated. They will join hands with Torqx to further expand the group regionally. Hein Castelijns, general manager of the car wash group, says he is looking forward to further developing the four locations with the Wasdas team: “We are very enthusiastic about the cooperation. Daniel, Barry and Jamila have been able to build a great carwash company consisting of four locations that are all characterized by their high quality, great look and unique customer experience. This makes the four locations a very valuable and fitting addition to the rest of the group.”
Champion
With the acquisition of Wasdas, Torqx continues to build on its ambition to “develop a champion in premium car washes in the Benelux”, as they describe their ambition. David van Hasselt, Investment Director at Torqx added: “The acquisition of Wasdas is a very important step in our initiative to bring premium car washes together and build a new Benelux-wide network. Not only do we strengthen the group with four branches, we also get a second center in the North and East of the Netherlands from which we can further expand the carwash group. ”
The Wasdas group is widely recognized in the car wash industry as a high-end regional player in the region, consisting of four car washes with a strong and recognizable brand.
In 2020, the Wasdas group expanded with a brand new car wash location in Hardenberg and in recent years the locations in Drachten, Emmen and Veendam have been completely renovated.
