Minister opens new car wash on Fiji
A newly opened car wash on the Fiji Islands doubles as a café and barbershop. The Minister for Trade & Commerce showed up during the opening festivities.
It is not every day we discover car wash news from Fiji. An archipelago in the South Pacific Ocean consisting of more than 300 islands with a population of almost 1 million people.
The newly opened Subzero Café & Car Wash is situated on the island of Denarau, a tourist destination. While waiting for your car to get cleaned, drivers can also opt for a coffee or a haircut. Since the car wash also has an indoor barber shop!
Even though it’s a small car wash, the Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport showed up for the official opening. According to Faiyaz Koya, the country needs more enterprising Fijians to inspire others to step into the area of starting a business.
Many young people living on Fiji struggle to find a proper job. The Minister says the focus should be “on educating youth and nurturing them to become job creators instead of job seekers.”
The new car wash employs 10 people in Denarau.
