CEO of Caruur Hans Deconinck and Bouchra Hashassi, founder and CEO of Washville

After a successful start in the Belgian city of Antwerp, Truckwash Washville is opening a third location in Ghent. Founder and CEO Bouchra Hashassi officially became the new owner of Caruur Car & Truckwash.

Since Washville’s startup in 2013, Hashassi has taken the well-being of drivers and their cars very seriously, we learn from a news item on Flows.be.

Step by step, Hashassi continues to work on her big dream of building a real truck village in the port of Antwerp. After a successful start-up of two truck-wash facilities in Ekeren and Zwijndrecht, Hashassi is now opening a third one in Ghent.

“Thanks to our new truck wash in Ghent, our region has grown significantly. We kan now bring our services much closer to our customers’ ‘, Hashassi says. “Of course, we also hope many new truck drivers will find their way to Washville Truckwash.”

Two years ago, Hashassi  was one of the guest at the Car Wash Show Europe, where she proved to be a very inspirational speaker.

Road heroes

Bouchra has always considered the warm welcome of truck drivers a top priority. She champions a high-quality “truckwash experience” with attention to people, ecology and sustainability. “Drivers are welcomed with respect and smiles at our facility,” she says. “To put it in ‘Washville-speak,’ ‘We take care of our road heroes.'” The company also takes its social responsibility and therefore recruits people with a small mental or physical disability. People who normally have a hard time finding a decent job.

Because of the recent acquisition of Caruur Car & Truckwash, Washville Truckwash Gent became a reality. “We had our eyes on Ghent as a location for some time now,” Hashassi says. “Hans Deconinck (owner of Caruur, ed.) picked up on this wish during a broadcast of Belgian national radio, where I was one the guests. He contacted me in mid-February 2023 and in less than six weeks we came to an agreement.”

The acquisition of Caruur Car & Truckwash allows CEO Deconinck to further focus on Caruur’s core business of short- and long-term truck and passenger car rental.
