Wash a car, plant a tree
For every new Unlimited Membership sold, the American car wash company Go Car Wash will plant a tree. In a recently announced partnership with One Tree Planted, the company said it wants to limit its ecological footprint.
One Tree Planted is a non-profit organization focused on global reforestation. Since 2014, they have planted over 40 million trees in 43 countries. Plus, they’ve more than doubled the number of trees planted each year. This protects biodiversity, creates a healthier climate, and helps reforestation efforts.
“This partnership is timely and well-aligned with GO Car Wash’s commitment to limiting its environmental footprint while providing exceptional eco-friendly washes”, said Brett Meinberg, COO of GO Car Wash about the co-op.
Monthly fee
The Go Unlimited is a subscription based service where members pay a monthly fee. In return they get an unlimited amount of car washes per month, together with other advantages such as automatic billing, free vacuums and use of a members-only lane. Plus a tree.

According to specialists in the field, planting trees definitely helps to bring down worldwide CO2-emissions. But it is not a silver bullit. It will take a forest the size of India if we want to seriously reduce the worldwide greenhouse gas emissions.
