Scandinavian company Uno-X just opened a new charging station and eco-friendly rollover car wash near Haugesund, Norway. On its 300 kW chargers no less than 38 ultrafast EV charging sockets are waiting for electrical vehicles.

The Norwegian section of the company recently also opened unmanned stations with car washes at Vennesla and Notodden and is planning to open one in Menstad, close to Larvik. Since Norway’s a ski destination, most of the Uno-X rollovers don’t have any problems with ski boxes on the roof. They offer both single washes and subscription-based programs.

Low cost

Uno-X is a chain of unmanned fuel stations throughout Denmark and Norway. It is operated as the low-cost section of YX Energi. The chain was originally created as a low cost chain in Denmark in the late 50s. Nowadays it has about 110 stations in Norway and 200 and Denmark.

In Norway, electric vehicles accounted for 79% of new passenger car sold last year. The country streaks ahead of other nations because it waives import duties and car registration taxes for electric vehicles. Furthermore, the country’s electricity comes almost exclusively from hydropower, making electric car use in Norway particularly clean.
