Mister Car Wash appoints Mayra Chimienti as COO
Mister Car Wash recently promoted Mayra Chimienti as chief operating officer. The American car wash company has over 250 locations in 21 states.
Mayra Chimienti has been with Mister Car Wash since 2007, when she started as a regional trainer for the El Paso market. She has been in the car wash industry for almost 20 years.
In her new role, Chimienti will oversee operations, human resources, integrations, project management, learning and development, and internal communications.
Prior to her promotion Chimienti was vice president of operations services, and thus led the development of key initiatives that allowed Mister to scale a consistent service delivery centered around people and hospitality.
“Mayra has been a key part of the growth for Mister Car Wash”, said John Lai, chairperson and CEO of Mister Car Wash. “Promotion to the chief operating officer role is a natural next step for Mayra and exciting for the future of our organization.”
The first Mister Car Wash store opened in 1969 in Houston, Texas. In 1996, Mister Car Wash was incorporated as a firm that developed quickly by acquiring other car wash locations across the country.
Leonard Green & Partners L.P. acquired Mister in 2014, and the company moved its headquarters to downtown Tucson, Arizona where it continued to expand operations. Nowadays it has more than 300 locations in 21 states in America.
