Skoda drivers in Czech Republic automatically informed about washing campaigns

The vehicle manufacturer Skoda is expanding its connectivity services. Motorists will be informed about current washing campaigns in the area through location-based services.

Skoda offers its customers location-based offers via the Skoda Connect app. In addition to current washing offers, customers can also get information about current offers from petrol stations and supermarkets via playouts on the vehicle’s infotainment system. The aim of Skoda is to make specific suggestions to the customer, which results from vehicle data, the GPS location and other data such as the current weather report.

Car wash campaign

If a customer vehicle is in the vicinity of a participating car wash, the driver receives current information while driving. At the same time, route guidance to the destination and e-mail transmission with the promotion code or a QR code are possible. The customer simply drives to the car wash and presents the promotion code and washes his vehicle for the corresponding offer.

This new content of the connectivity service is currently only available for the Czech market. An expansion to the international market is planned, but Skoda is not yet giving any more precise information on when this will be. In the Czech Republic there are already a number of cooperation partners from various industries. The car wash operator Automyčka Express is currently participating in the car wash sector.
