The switch from manual to mechanical (CNA) CNA

In the USA and parts of Western Europe, the battle between man and (car wash) machine has long been won by the latter. But in Singapore, many car washes are still hand powered. Due to labor shortage in the Asian city-state, this is now changing.

For car wash entrepreneurs and hardware suppliers with expansion plans, a recent item on Channel New Asia makes for fascinating television. We learn a thing or two about the car wash market in Singapore. With 5,6 million inhabitants in a mostly urban environment, there’s plenty of potential market share right around the corner.

Kärcher

First we see how local car wash company Wash ‘n Run invested in Kärcher technology, including a rollover and proper water recycling.
Then we switch to a detailing company called Carzy Wash, where the owner is indeed struggling to find reliable staff but is not yet ready for the switch to go completely mechanical.

Boons’ Car Wash made another decision. They switched to Nerta for his chemicals, which may be much more expensive but saves his operators a lot of precious time. The wash down is much faster with Nerta products.
