Tesla introduced a software update with a new function that’s very welcome in the car wash. This Car Wash Mode makes it easier for drivers to visit the car wash without getting in trouble.

When this mode is activated, the doors of the Tesla Model 3 and Y and the trunk automatically close. The wipers go to sleeping mode and the sounds of the parking sensors are turned off. For car washes with conveyor belts, the mode can switch the free roll option to neutral. This prevents the car from auto-braking when the driver leaves.

It takes several weeks before all the cars will have the update.
