Christ wins design award for Vega washing system

Manufacturer Otto Christ AG has won a Red Dot Award for its Vega washing system. Christ’s rollover stands for shorter waiting times, a better customer experience and more washes for the operator. For Christ, the fact that the machine has been rewarded with an award is a culmination of all their efforts.

“Winning is the beginning,” Christ writes in a press release about winning the prestigious design award. This is the first time that a rollover to wash cars has been awarded the title. The Red Dot Award has been nominating the best designed products annually since 1955. Companies provide their own entries and a jury determines whether a Red Dot is awarded.

From June 21, the Vega will be part of the digital exhibition on the Red Dots website and of the exhibition at the design museum in Essen, Germany. That day also marks the start of the Red Dot Design Week during which winners Otto Christ AG and design studio Phormolog OG will be highlighted.

The washing system is the successor to the C16X series, which includes the Primus, Genius and Varius rollovers. Christ’s sales, production and service departments put their heads together to create this new generation rollover. The appearance of the machine is striking, and the user interface and software complete it.

For the customer, using this system means shorter waiting time, more experience and better results. For the operator, the system should provide more washes and thus more revenue per hour.
