Report from the CarwashPro Forum, Day 1: car wash visits

Carwashpro Forum

In the German city of Cologne, the CarwashPro Forum took place this week. The first day kicked off with a visit to a few car wash facilities in the vicinity. Participants took the opportunity to exchange ideas with other operators and see live solutions from competitors.

Q1 service station car wash

The first stop on the car wash tour was at the Q1 Scherer filling station in the city of Bonn. And what better place to start than at the display with wash programs, the most important location of any car wash wash. The participants received a short briefing and then followed the route through the car wash. It was particularly interesting to see how customers reacted to the foam curtain and polish service, but questions were also asked about the facility’s clear water.

Soapbox Niederpleis

The second car wash on the program offered a very special highlight, because Soapbox Niederpleis in St. Augustin uses the water-saving X-Jet nozzles from Caramba. The effect was quite apparent. Since the changeover, the plant has been using significantly less water without sacrificing wash quality. The tour participants were able to see this for themselves.

CycleWASH

the third and final stop was at cycleWASH factory. Together with the managing director, Sachin Kumar, current models for bicycle washing systems could be inspected and tried out. These washing systems have become very popular with bicycle owners in recent months. It’s an interesting proposition and offers new sales opportunities for existing car washes.

Networking dinner

To conclude the first day, the group of participants gathered for a networking dinner in downtown Cologne. In a pleasant atmosphere, the impressions of the day could be deepened and professional opinions exchanged. This laid the foundation for the second conference day with a varied program.
