Mr. Wash near the 1 million mark

Mr Wash

The German car wash company Mr. Wash Autoservice AG can look back on a very successful month of washing. In March, nearly 1 million vehicles were washed at Mr. Wash’s more than 30 locations. Thanks to clouds of dust from the Sahara, which helped boost the car wash business.

March 2022 was a challenging month for the mobility industry. Automotive companies worried about raw material supplies, and companies with drivers as their end customers saw gas prices rise to record heights. But a sigh of relief was heard inside the car wash industry, when large-scale clouds of Sahara dust were announced over large parts of Europe.

New car wash record

As a result, one of the largest car wash chains in Germany was able to look back on March with joy. Mr. Wash closed last month just short of one million vehicles washed in a single month. “We were just short of 60,000 washes at our locations across Germany” says Richard Enning, CEO of Mr. Wash Autoservice AG.

Speaking to CarwashPro, he reported that his customers were not skimping on washing, despite high fuel prices. Mr. Wash certainly did not see numbers decline. The two large clouds with Sahara dust that flew over Europe ensured car washes filled up, including long lines.

On the up

Mr. Wash is continuing on a path upwards. Two new car washes are currently being built. A new car wash is near completion in Mülheim an der Ruhr, and this location will have a special feature. In addition to the car wash, a new production site for mechanical engineering will also be built there. Construction will take around a year.
Also this year, another Mr. Wash will see the light of day in Berlin. An existing building has been acquired there, which means the conversion can take place within 2022.
