Wash your dog at the car wash
Shammy’s Car Wash will be adding dog wash stations to both of their locations by the end of february. It will also include a blow dryer, so owners are not left with a dripping dog. Shammy’s runs two car washes in the state of Kentucky.
Local newspaper Owensboro Times picked up on the news. To them, operations Manager Leanna Byrne said the owners learned about car washes offering the service during a convention they attended. They thought it was the perfect opportunity to bring to Owensboro. “We all are animal lovers. We love our dogs. So we just wanted to do something different”, Byrne said.
Flea treatments
The Dog Wash will have shampoos and conditioners plus flea and tick treatments. For customers who are unsure how to use the device, there will be a screen walking them through each step of the process. “It’s gonna be super easy. The screen will tell you exactly what to do and what buttons to press.”
Shammy’s is currently in the middle of adding a second car wash in Owensboro, at the corner of West Parrish Avenue and Carter Road. According to Byrne, they will be offering the dog washing service there as well.
The new location will open at the end of this month. Bring your dog.
