Storm rips roof off New Hampshire car wash
A violent storm ripped the roof right off a car wash in Salem, New Hampshire this week. Luckily, no one got hurt. The roof had recently been renewed.
The damage occurred last Monday at the Haffner’s Car Wash amid a day of wild weather across southern New England, 7NEWS Boston reports on their website.
The roof was peeled back “Just like a sardine can”, eye Josh Houde told them. He works next to the damaged car wash.
Houde first heard a loud crashing noise. After he went outside, he saw the rest of the roof disappear.
No victims
According to the owners of Haffner’s Car Wash, no one got hurt. “It definitely could have been worse,” said Houde to 7NEWS. “There could have been people over there or cars parked over there because that place is always busy.”
It will take some time before the car wash can reopen. The damage looks quite extensive.
