Ammeraal Beltech reflects on Las Vegas: ‘Growing trend for conveyors’
Ammeraal Beltech is looking back on a successful Car Wash Show in Las Vegas. Several booths showcased its own the Ammeraal products, including the uni-ACB, CSB and AMB belts, including accessories. “We notice a strong growing trend of double-track conveyors,” says Jean-Pierre Claassen of Ammeraal Beltech.
“..And so are the single-track and interior conveyors,” adds Claassen, global industry segment manager automotive at Ammeraal Beltech. Several products were presented in Las Vegas, with related accessories in addition to the belts, such as the innovative, more wear-resistant inserts and the unique gear sprocket drive.
Multiple booths
Ammeraal Beltech attended the Car Wash Show for the first time in 2016 to provide support at STI Conveyors’ booth.
This year it was for STI Conveyors at the Sonny’s booth, for Minda within the Motor City Wash Works booth, for NCS, IDC (International Drying Cooperation) and Black Cobra conveyors.
“This edition was very successful for us with so many companies that started working with our plastic link conveyors modular belts,” Claassen continued. “Partly new and partly as replacement of other plastic link conveyors modular belts.”

Avoiding unpleasant experiences
In Las Vegas, interest in Ammeraal Beltech’s products came mainly from the United States itself. But there have also been interested visitors from Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, the Middle East, China and Korea, Claassen says.
At the trade show, there were particularly questions about the longevity and reliability of the plastic link modular belt. “This is partly because in the past – and still today – there has been mixed experiences with other plastic link modular belts. We have a good answer to these issues, since both conveyor designs, materials used and our plastic link modular belts are brought together to avoid these unpleasant experiences.”

Double-track link belts Dual lane modular belt conveyors are increasingly seen as “ultimate customer-friendly,” according to Claassen. “Because the four wheels no longer roll – as in a chain wash – they are also ideal for avoiding problems with cars that go into park mode while on a belt.”
