New headquarters for Tommy’s Car Wash
One of the biggest car wash companies in the United States has just celebrated the opening of its new headquarters. With 100,000-square-foot (9300 square meter) the office has more than enough space for everyone. In addition to that, Tommy’s also opened a 200,000-square-foot warehouse space. Both are situated in Holland, Michigan.
The building is the new headquarters for Tommy’s Express Car Wash and Tommy Car Wash Systems. It includes a warehouse, fabrication and logistics center, modern office spaces, and room for events and employee collaboration with vendors and customers.
“The design of the building is intended to show our franchise partners and employees (they’re) the center of our business”, said Alex Lemmen, CEO of Tommy’s Express and Tommy Car Wash Systems. “The space is all about supporting them as they deliver a world-class car wash experience.”

How it began
Quality Car Wash began its 50-year history at 523 W. 17th St. in Holland under the ownership of Julius “Sonny” Essenburg and his brother, Jacob.
Jacob’s granddaughter, Mandi Brower, now helms the company, which will retain its headquarters on Lakewood Boulevard in Holland Township.
Tommy Car Wash Systems was launched in the 1990s to supply equipment across the country and around the world. Tommy’s Express was created when Brower and her brother, Ryan, decided to pair the equipment from Tommy Car Wash Systems with the concept from Quality Car Wash. The franchise now has more than 160 franchise locations throughout the United States.
