You get a clear view with Sonax during winter

When the last drops of the windshield summer cleaner are used up, many customers switch to a winter cleaner. German automotive website Autobild.de recently published a detailed test report in which Sonax Antifreeze+Clear View impressed with the best performance.

In total, eleven ready-to-use winter windshield cleaners were tested by the Auto Bild editorial team. Sonax Antifrost+Clear View ready to use up to -20 °C Citrus was the only product to receive an overall ‘very good’ rating. As a result, the product came out on top in the test and was also the price-performance winner due to its efficiency.

Fourth wipe

The editors’ conclusion: “No other cleaner achieves the high cleaning speed and intensity of the test winner ‘Sonax Anti-Frost & Clear View’. Sonax achieves the criterion ‘clean windshield’ from the fourth wipe, which corresponds to a cleaned surface of 63 percent. It also scored full points in the ‘antifreeze’ test, with Sonax stating antifreeze protection down to minus 20 degrees on the label. With 93 out of 100 points, ‘Sonax Antifrost & Klarsicht’ received the grade 1.3 (very good). It is also the price-performance winner: at 55 cents per cleaning, Sonax is the cheapest of all the products tested.

Six other cleaners were downgraded, mainly due to lower cleaning performance, but still were rated ‘good’. One product received a ‘satisfactory’ or ‘sufficient’ rating.

Two products in the test field were rated ‘poor’ by the experts. The editors recommend against buying them and even warn about buying the JMC window cleaner: “After wiping, it produces strong, permanent streaks that create a dangerously dazzling film in the dark and in oncoming traffic.”
