The Forecourt Show kicks off
In the British city of Birmingham, The Forecourt Show kicked off on Monday. It’s a trade show for gas & service station owners as well as car wash operators. The last edition was in 2019, before corona struck.
Through Wednesday, April 27, there are demonstrations, lectures and workshops in the NEC in Birmingham. Although the emphasis is on food and petrol, you will also find stands from Adriatech, WashTec, Ready2Wash and the Car Wash Association.

Speakers include Gordon Balmer, PRA executive director; Steve Rodell, managing director of forecourt property specialist Christie & Co; plus there will be exclusive forecourt research from Flora Zwolinksi, consumer insights specialist at Lumina Intelligence.
One of the special guests this year is former Formula 1 manager Marc Priestley, who will give a talk on team building. As a former member of the Mclaren F1 Pit crew, he knows a thing or two about working under high pressure.
There are also several sessions on sustainability, clearly a theme this year in Beuningen. TooGoodToGo co-ounder Jamie Crummie wil give a lecture at the fair.
The Forecourt Show is held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), which is on the east side of the British city, right next to the airport. The event will last until Wednesday, April 27.
