Report from UNITI, day 3: Going digital

uniti crowd 2022

On the last day of UNITI things got digital. The Car wash Forum was all about digitalization issues. So we learned a lot about new payment methods in various specialist presentations.

Even though most trade fair visitors felt two busy days in their muscles, they still showed up en masse for the last day of UNITI in Stuttgart. The exhibitor stands in Halls 1 and 3 were well attended right up to the end. Here, many trade visitors took advantage of the long-missed opportunity to inform themselves intensively and personally about innovations in the car wash industry.

The Kärcher stand was far from the only one where they experienced the enthusiasm of visitors. People wanted to see the products, get acquainted and do business. Covid suddenly seemed a thing of the past.

Going digital

The main topic of the Carwash Forum during the last day of the trade show was digitalization. In particular digital payment turned out to be a subject of intense discussion. In numerous trade fair booths, visitors were also able to find out more about the industry’s various market solutions on this topic.

How long cash will continue to play a role in the laundry business is not clearly foreseeable. It really depends on the country. Some Nordic countries have almost abolished cash payments in car washes.

More and more entrepreneurs and investors have firmly anchored digital payment in their business models. It was also noticeable that the audience at the trade show this year was very international. Here, all trade visitors could clearly benefit from the simultaneous translation of the presentations in the Car Wash Forum.

See you in 2024

After the gates of UNITI expo 2022 had closed, the next European trade fair in Bologna was already on the itinerary for many exhibitors. The industry will have to wait two years before they can meet again in Stuttgart. The fifth edition of UNITI is planned between May 14-16, 2024.
