Sonax has a new R&D director: Mikhail Meilikhov
Car polish manufacturer Sonax has appointed Mikhail Meilikhov (39) as its new head of research and development. He replaces Christian Seeger who retired late last year after 40 years of service at the German company.
Meilikhov serves on Sonax’s board of directors and will be responsible for the company’s research and development department. Previously, Meilikhov was head of innovation and product development for consumer adhesives at Henkel. Before that, the 39-year-old gained knowledge in a management consulting firm with a special focus on specialist chemicals and research.
Demand for sustainable products
The prospect of being able to help shape the future of the company from the top level is “very appealing and a very interesting challenge,” said Meilikhov. He sees key tasks not only in product innovations and quality assurance. The demand for product sustainability is also increasingly coming into focus and will continue to drive development.
Manfred Hoffmann, Managing Director of Sonax, is pleased that in Meilikhov he has been able to recruit “a manager with outstanding expertise”. The advisory board and the management are convinced that the successful corporate development, which his predecessor Cristian Seeger helped shape for almost forty years, can continue seamlessly.
