WashTec launches information portal on sustainability

Climate crisis, consumer trends, new mobility concepts – the need for information is present. Andreas Gucklhorn

WashTec has launched an information portal on fully sustainable vehicle washing. Climate crisis, consumer trends, new mobility concepts – the need for guidance on how to make mobility sustainable in all aspects has never been greater,  the German car wash manufacturer notes.

Within the portal, operators receive information on criteria and options for implementation. At the same time, consumers receive advice on making conscious purchasing decisions. “Both consumers and businesses need reliable information on implementation options for sustainable mobility,” says WashTec.

Saving on energy and water consumption

For businesses, the focus is on the key factors of a sustainable car wash, from purchasing to the optimized wash cycle in the car wash. “These include insights into the potential savings in energy and water consumption during the washing process, the effective reduction of environmental impacts thanks to new technical and chemical solutions, and decision criteria for the selection of sustainable partners.”
In addition to environmental factors, social and economic factors are also part of the sustainable approach, with WashTec following the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

‘Contributing to sustainability balance’

“As a partner of car wash operators in more than 80 countries, we have the opportunity to contribute to the sustainability balance of the mobility sector,” said WashTec’s Thomas Brenner, Head of Global Marketing & CRM. “That’s why we decided to share our knowledge with operators around the world. Together, with 2,000,000 car washes a day, we can promote a more sustainable future in mobility.”
