Carwashpro-poll: water recycling is a necessity
Over 75 percent of business owners think it is necessary to apply water recycling in the car wash.
CarwashPro recently posted a poll on its Dutch website, asking car wash owners about the need for a sustainable water policy.
Over 75 percent of business owners said they think it is necessary to apply water recycling in the car wash. More surprisingly perhaps: a quarter of the voters hardly see the need. They think it’s not important enough. At least right now.
Of the business owners who think water recycling in the car wash is important, the vast majority say it is a joint responsibility. A third of the yes voters even think it should be made mandatory by the government. A few worry about the future.
Of the entrepreneurs who voted no in the poll, some think the investment for water recycling is simply too big. A majority say they do not think it is important enough at this time. And a minority is looking at other ways of sustainable business.
Winter drought
The poll followed the news that because of the current winter drought in Europe, far-reaching measures are already being taken to prevent problems in the summer. Including a ban on washing cars in a number of places.
