German radio station offers free car washes all week
In the German state of Hessen, the ‘WischWaschWoche’ has started again. A car washing campaign organized by a local radio station and 15 regional car washes in the densely populated state. HR4 listeners get a premium car wash for free.
The successful promo campaign has been going on for years. Probably because it’s worthwhile for both parties. Until Friday, three car washes in Hessen will open their doors for free for one hour every day.
Even those who are still standing in line at the end of the hour don’t have to worry: “Our listeners just have to drive there. Even the last ones to arrive benefit: Anyone who is still in line with their car at the end of the hour will get their vehicle spick and span – and a little surprise to boot,” guarantees a hr4 radio host.
The online portal also addresses environmental protection. Many car owners in Germany still don’t know that it’s very environmental unfriendly to wash your car by the side of the road.
With this promotion week, ideally it will sink in that the better alternative is the professional car wash nearby.
