Istobal introduces Ozone Jet Wash
Spanish car wash manufacturer Istobal has recently launched a new economic way of jet washing. It’s called Ozone Jet Wash, an ozone-in-water system that reduces operating costs by providing equipment that is more environmentally friendly than hot water boilers, according to the company.
With their Ozone Jet Wash, Istobal offers an alternative to hot water heaters in car washes. These can cause high operating and maintenance costs, not to mention the CO₂ emissions.
Istobal claims their new invention lowers chemical consumption and improves the quality of the wastewater after washing. In times where sustainability is a keyword, the Spanish company might be onto something.
Harmless
The Ozone Jet Wash is said to save up to 36% of operating costs compared to electric boilers. It’s suitable for car washes with two to four wash bays. Savings are up to 25% in oil-fired condensing heating systems and up to 15% and 11% in systems with air-source heat pumps and gas boilers, respectively.
The presence of ozone in the water is completely harmless to people and vehicles. The device complies with WHO guidelines for ozone concentrations in the air (below 0.05 ppm). It can be installed quickly and easily in new and existing plants and is available since June.
