Adriateh wins prestigious design award

Most of our readers know Adriateh as the manufacturer of very well designed car wash bays. But the Croatian company has just won a design award with another product: a street lighting pole. Not an ordinary one though. With the P2 you can actually charge your electric vehicle.

The iF DESIGN AWARD is a world-renowned design prize. With the integration of EV charging and lamppost in a special design, Adriateh has shown EV-chargers don’t have to be ugly. Their P2 won the international competition, which has over 11,000 entries from 57 countries.

Constrained areas

“The demand for electric vehicle chargers is global, and one of the challenges is to ensure a power source for charging stations in spatially constrained areas,” says Zoran Švraka of Adriateh, who designed the award-winning charger and is also a member of the management board.

“Our product is a functional integration of EV charging and lamppost. It utilizes existing AC power supply and LED lighting, making it practical and easy to install in private and public areas, such as parking lots or streets,” emphasizes Švraka.

No paint nor plastic

The P2 charger is manufactured using only aluminum and stainless steel, without plastic or paint. It offers charging power ranging from 1.4 to 22 kW, with dynamic power management and compatibility with all vehicles with a Type 2 connector.

“Unlike similar chargers integrated into lampposts, our device can operate independently. In practice, this means that you can charge your electric vehicle regardless of whether the lights are on or off,” added Damir Živković, Head of the EV Charging Department at Adriateh.

The award-winning P2 charger is already available on the market under the Stekerr brand, along with other charging stations by Adriateh.
