Adriateh is expanding to France

The Tertis wash bays by Adriateh Adriateh

Adriateh will try to lure French car wash operators into upgrading their machines and wash bays. The Croatian car wash manufacturer therefore travels to France mid-March. Anyone interested in their offer should get in touch. We spoke to the company about their visit.

Over the years, Adriateh has installed more than 700 complete car wash installations across Europe. They also took part in over 2000 installations (be it structures, technology or other equipment such as vacuum cleaners, air blowers etc.). Currently they are present in more than 40 countries.

But the French car wash market proved to be a hard nut to crack. After Adriateh’s presence at Equip Auto in Paris 2022, things started to change.

“At the fair in Paris last year we were exhibiting our 5 models, structures and technology”, says Ivana Homan Peternac, Business Development Manager at Adriateh “After talking with a lot of visitors at our stand we found out that there are so many old, not very good looking car wash stations in France. There might be a potential to offer French customers our modern, beautifully designed car wash stations which they deserve.

“After talking to around hundred visitors on our stand for 5 days we discovered they are in love with our model TERTIS. We can offer to cover “Portique” rollovers (an automated washer, rp) which is also something some French regions are demanding. So our clients would not only get a modern car wash station but also a cover of the rollover in the same design and on the same level.”

To demonstrate how their new car wash would turn out, Adriateh uses augmented reality in which they combine the excisting location and new equipment. “We can show them in minutes what their new car wash station might look like and answer any questions they might have.
With our user-friendly AR app every user can select one of our models and place it in virtual reality into the space where he/she would like to place his/her new car wash station. With the App you can even enter the car wash station and have a look at it from all the angles.”

In what way is the French market different from other countries in Europe?

“From the experience we collected during the last few years in France we learned that they are very much eager to make their car wash stations using different suppliers. So they use one supplier for the technology, another one for the structure. This is a major difference compared to other countries in Europe, where many operators prefer to use an all in package from one supplier.”

What do you have to offer potential customers?

“We can offer them five different models to choose from. Each is unique so it can satisfy different tests. All models are patented in Geneva, Switzerland. All the structures and the technical room are made of stainless steel. We make high quality technology, using only world known brands, all made in house at our premises in Croatia. The fact we produce them in house can guarantee our clients they will be able to get custom made products.
We do not only produce car wash stations but also provide all the peripheral equipment for it. Our designers can alter this equipment to the wishes of the client. This means even the smallest detail is designed in the desired style, be it vacuum cleaners or other equipment for the particular car wash station.”

Last summer in France, various regions had water restrictions. Have you thought of a way to tackle these potential problems?

“We are proud of our engineers who are constantly working on improving our technology and to make it better. We are among the few car wash producers who offer a machine which is using only 8 liters of water per minute. Hence, water savings is an issue which we are well aware of.”

Adriateh will be in France between 13-17 March. More info here.
