ACE presents cooperation with Tommy’s at CWSE

The brand-new cooperation with Tommy’s Express will have a prominent place at the Ace Carwash Systems stand during the Car Wash Show Europe, Ruby Kamerbeek of the latter company promises. Their well-known bar won’t be missing either. “That way, our booth will be a place to hang out.”

After three years, it will soon be time again for the Car Wash Show Europe on September 21 and 22. It goes without saying that Ace Carwash Systems will be present. With 170 installed car washes, the Weesp-based company is one of the bigger players in the Benelux.

We asked Ace Carwash a few questions about their presence at the CWSE. Ruby Kamerbeek provided the answers.

What are the main products you are bringing to Amsterdam?

“This year we are building the stand in three parts. It is twice as big as in previous years. The most important element is of course our famous bar. That way our booth will also be a place to just hang out.

You will find a complete section in our CWSE booth, with the familiar Holtz car wash machines to the left of the bar and a big space for our new partner from America to the right of the bar: Tommy’s Express”.

Indeed, big news. In addition to the long-standing cooperation with Holz, which has been supplying ACE with machines for many years, they also struck a deal with the big American player Tommy’s. With this company from Holland, Michigan, ACE has brought the largest American franchise carwash concept to Europe. “A new name in Europe,” admits Ruby Kamerbeek. “With this American model, the entire European market can expect a growth spurt that will benefit the entire industry. Tommy’s fits the bill perfectly: a family business, car washes with a high number of washes per hour and strong, reliable structures. “We can’t wait to show that to the public at CWSE.”

The arrival of Tommy’s fits in a trend, Ruby explains: “People are starting to wash their cars more and more. A fact that needs to be managed, and Tommy’s is an expert at that.”

Futuristic vacuum cleaners

ACE also invites trade show visitors to their two outside displays during the CWSE. There is plenty to see there as well. “We want to show our new vacuum cleaners. We have recently developed a completely new vacuum cleaner square, which is already in use at locations in the Netherlands. These columns are really the next level, where everything can be found and bought in the column itself. Payment is of course by card or phone, and the nice thing about the machines is that everything is controlled by stepper motors. This prevents the usual sound mayhem in a vacuum square, while maybe only a vacuum cleaner is being used”.

How big is your team and what do you expect from CWSE?

“There will be 25 of us from ACE, 5 from Holz and another 5 from Tommy’s at our big bar in the middle of the show. Everyone will be up for a chat. Personally, I expect to see a lot of people. Of course it is great to meet new people and who knows, maybe cooperation will come from it. But the most important thing is that we can show here what we do, what kind of company we are and that everyone is welcome at our stand!”

Trade show topics

There are many workshops and demonstrations at CWSE. Ace is convinced that ‘paying afterwards’ will definitely be a topic of discussion. “It’s clear to us this will be a future development. This is what people want, and I understand that,” says Ruby, “paying afterwards has many advantages. You simply scan the license plate and from then on everything goes through that number. There is no human error, the customer either pays in the car or afterwards at a kiosk. Everything is done digitally. You no longer have cash in your hands and the administration is automatic. In addition, several cash registers work simultaneously. It is much faster.”

And, as Ruby explains, there’s another big advantage: “Your upselling is also automatic. Because when you make a selection, you immediately send a notification if someone is sure about their choice. You might get second thoughts about that detailing offer.”

Expectations

As this is the first Dutch carwash show since Corona, Ruby expects a lot of people on the floor. “We’re ready for that. With Tommy’s on board, we had to expand our headquarters. We had to double the square footage of our office. It seems only fitting that we also double the square footage at the show, right? “The more people you can fit at the bar, the more fun we’ll have at this year’s Carwash Show Europe,” concludes Ruby with a smile.
