Repsol is washing more cars than ever

Respol is gearing up speed to realize hundreds of car washes in their home country. At the Car Wash Show Europe we learned, the Spanish gas station company is fully aware that the energy transition will lead to less fossil fuel consumption in the near future. Therefore, Repsol also invests in other services. Such as better food and more car washes.

Repsol is the largest service station formula in Spain, with over three thousand service station locations. With the energy transition in full swing, the company is aware that gas stations have to change to convenience locations, where consumers can find a range of services.

For example, hundreds of the company’s gas stations are now equipped with shops in the Supercor formula. This formula focuses on freshly prepared food and beverages.

Furthermore, over a hundred Repsol stations now have a parcel service where consumers can pick up or deliver mail and packages. This is an important service in a country like Spain where long distances between villages and towns in the countryside are the norm..

Speed

Another of Repsol’s spearheads is the realization of car washes. The name of the carwash formula is Repsol Klin.

Currently, the formula has about three hundred of them in Spain. This should grow in the next few years to at least five hundred, according to Repsol. “The car washes are all focussing on  top quality wash results, speed, safe locations and easy ways to pay,” said Alicia Cruzado of Respol during the Carwash Show Europe 2023, held in Amsterdam last month.

The company is now fine-tuning the car wash locations it already has. They recently launched a fragrance line developed specifically for Repsol that will be used in all car washes.

The use of the Waylet mobile payment app now allows tens of thousands of people to make quick and easy cashless payments.
