Get a haircut at the car wash
In a society where multitasking seems to be the norm, a bunch of Canadian entrepreneurs found a nice niche in the car wash market: a drive-in barbershop slash car detailing studio.
The Drive-In Barbershop is situated in a former car rental space in Edmonton, Canada. The new renters have put the 4,000 square foot (272 square meter) space to good use, by putting not only a few hairdresser chairs inside but also installing a proper car detailing studio next to it.
Customers who get a haircut can have their car simultaneously washed and detailed in the attached car wash. A live TV feed in the barbershop keeps them updated on the cleanness of their beloved vehicle.
Sixties
The design team of the barbershop – hich opened last spring- has clearly been inspired by the sixties, when checkered floors, neon signs and a jukebox were all part of the deal.
Back in those days it was also pretty standard to get a shoeshine at some point. Which is exactly why this service is also offered at the Drive-In Barbershop.
The only thing they don’t have going, or at least not really, is their website. It’s kinda…rudimentary.
You will find the Drive-In Barbershop at:
4517 Gateway Blvd
South Side Edmonton
Canada
