BP revamps Blackburn car wash
The Kay Group (UK) Ltd just got the green light from the city council to initiate a significant transformation of their BP car wash facilities in Blackburn. Four wash bays will replace the existing rollover, BNN Breaking reports.
The proposal to increase the number of jet washer machines to four and to relocate them encountered no public resistance. The council recognised the potential benefits for the local community and granted permission for the refurbishment.
The jet wash bays, which are currently located adjacent to the car wash structure, will be relocated to the previously occupied area by the rollover car wash.
Convenience
According to BNN, this strategic shift positions the new jet wash bays on the eastern edge of the service station forecourt, enhancing accessibility and convenience for patrons.
Furthermore, the whole car wash will get a makeover. The existing brickwork will be clad with sheet metal along the full length of the new jet wash bays.
The BP service station is open 24 hours a day and also hosts a Londis and a Costas Express. The car washing services close at night, though. It is possible to wash from 8 am to 9 pm from Monday to Saturday, and from 8 am to 6 pm on Sundays and bank holidays.
