The IMO Car Wash Group has just reached a milestone, with more than 1 million downloads of their mobile app. With the app, customers can pay for washes, collect and redeem rewards, and subscribe to a wash package. 

With wash subscriptions quickly becoming the norm, apps are becoming increasingly important for car wash entrepreneurs. It is the way to keep in touch with your customers, to monitor their wishes and to offer them discounts and other perks.

Mixed reviews

A decent app is key though, and IMO seems to have cracked the nugget mainly for iPhone users, with a current 4,4 star review in the Apple store.

The latest reviews for the Android app (3.3 stars) are significantly lower, with many recent 1 star reviews. “The app requires more information than I’m prepared to hand over for a car wash”, says user Meraki Reeder, who downloaded the app in October.

Last summer IMO revamped their app, with an ‘improved look and feel with easier navigation for an even better user experience’. They also added a more extensive discount and voucher program.

IMO Car Wash, which is part of the American company Driven Brands, washes over 28 million cars annually and has 740 sites in 13 countries across Europe and Australia. It has over 240 locations in the UK.
