‘Largest Car Wash’ in America opens
In the land where everything has to be bigger, better and faster, Bubble Down Car Wash has just announced it will open ‘the largest car wash in America’. With a whopping 400 feet (122 meters), their new tunnel in Brandon, Florida sure is mighty long.
According to a research by Carwash.com, up till now the longest car wash in the US was found in Texas. A convenience store company called Buc-ee’s opened the longest car wash conveyor back in 2017 at its location in Katy. Their wash conveyor is 255 feet long, a length that was checked by the Guinness Book of Records.
Bubble Down states that a longer tunnel will allow the company to provide the cleanest car every time. Because it will fit all the extra equipment required to give cars a more thorough clean and at a faster rate. This would mean less wait time and a superior wash for every customer, the Tampa based company says.

But longer doesn’t necessarily mean more efficiency, experts say. In Germany, Mr. Wash runs a huge car wash with double conveyors and a capacity for up to 4000 cars a day. YouTube-channel Welt made a documentary about the Stuttgart-based car wash, two years back.
And then there is this Flagship Car Wash in Ashburn, with 65.000 square feet ‘the largest indoor car wash in the U.S.’, according to Flagship.
The press release by Bubble Down about their new conveyor tunnel in Brandon did not mention its daily capacity nor its total square feet.
The new Bubble Down car wash will open on Saturday, February 18. Guests will enjoy free car washes for ten days after the opening day.
