Favagrossa acquires Brushcom

The Rotor, one of Brushworld's innovations.

Favagrossa has acquired Brushcom. The Dutch specialist in car wash brushes will continue to operate as an independent brand under the Favagrossa banner. Both brands will be present at the trade shows UNITI expo in Stuttgart and The Car Wash Show in Nashville next week, where they will introduce the ‘Brush World Group’.

Favagrossa Srl – based in Italy – manufactures industrial brushes for car washes and is a global leader in the car wash industry. With this acquisition, Favagrossa consolidates its position in the market, while also expanding its catalog and commercial network in Northern Europe. “I’m very excited about the synergy resulting from this acquisition” says Leonardo Favagrossa, CEO of the Italian company. “Brushcom will help us to target a different market fully focused on high-volume wash equipment. Really tailored brushes designed according to the customer’s needs.”

Thinking ahead

Brushcom, founded by Wim Muskens in 2007, aimed to supply brush equipment to carwash companies as an independent player. Over the years Brushcom has become a leading manufacturer and European market leader in brush material for high-volume car wash systems.

Current Brushcom-owner Roel Muskens on the acquisition: “As the director of Brushcom, I’m proud of this new partnership. Teaming up with Favagrossa opens up more growth opportunities, boosts our innovation capabilities, and adds value for both us and our customers.”

“Entrepreneurship is thinking ahead. How do we stay relevant, innovative and are we able to continue to meet our customer’s needs. This is a great challenge, especially given the increasing demand for (custom) brush equipment, especially in the U.S. Together with Favagrossa, Brushcom has more growth opportunities, innovation power and value creation to stay ahead in the world of ‘express’ machine car washing. This acquisition thus lays a solid foundation for the future.”

The partnership

Brushcom has been a 100 percent subsidiary of Favagrossa since January 1, 2024. Roel Muskens will remain responsible for Brushcom and the head office will remain located in Oss. Brushcom will continue to operate as an independent brand under the Favagrossa banner. “Our mission remains unchanged, indeed, together with Favagrossa we can be even better committed to providing the market with the very best brush material. And as part of Favagrossa in the Brush World Group, Brushcom will at a stroke become the global leader in the supply o brush material for car wash systems,” Muskens said.

The new Brush World Group – under which both brands will operate – will be officially presented next week at the UNITI expo trade shows in Stuttgart and ICA in Nashville.
