Torqx further expands its car wash group
Claro Carwash, the carwash group of the Dutch investor Torqx Capital Partners, has acquired Matz Carwash. The takeover involves two car washes in the east of The Netherlands.
“For many this may come as a surprise, but for Martin Kniest it is a process that was already initiated two years ago,” Claro Carwash said in an announcement.
The two involved tunnel car washes are situated in Zutphen and Deventer. “By mutual agreement and with pride” Kniest hands over the company with immediate effect.
Hein Castelijns, general manager of Claro Carwash, says he is looking forward to working closely with the existing team. He emphasizes that Claro is determined to continue the success of Matz Carwash.
Fifteen locations
Claro Carwash is the carwash group within Torqx Capital Partners’ portfolio and currently operates fifteen car washes in The Netherlands.
Just last week, the company announced the acquisition of XXL Carwash Muiden. Claro’s ambition is to further expand the group into a ‘champion in the Benelux.’
