“I almost died in the carwash”
When Beau Stottlemyer recently drove his big truck through a tunnel car wash in Colorado, a loud bang suddenly sounded. Seconds later, his windshield was shattered. “New fear unlocked”, is the most used comment on the two TikTok videos he has since published about the accident.
In the two viral videos, Stottlemyer recounted the scary moment in which he believes he “almost died.” He has shared footage of the security camera while explaining what happened.
On the first video, Stottlemyer’s vehicle can be seen taken slowly on a belt through the carwash tunnel. The vehicle then stops abruptly.

According to Stottlemyer, a side brush got caught in the swirling top brush. “I probably shouldn’t have braked”, he comments in a second video. “But I panicked.”
The top brush first hits the roof and then crashes through his windshield.
On the video you can see numerous pieces of broken glass which are scattered all over the dashboard.
Luckily, Stottlemyer got out unharmed and has since been offered repair costs and a rental car by the management of the undisclosed Colorado carwash.
