British police arrested two people in connection with a fatal road traffic incident at a car wash on Bishopstoke Road, Bishopstoke.

Two inhabitants of Southampton have been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter. During Sunday’s incident, a 35-year-old man was struck by a vehicle at Car Wash Bay in Bishopstoke Road just before 12.15pm on Sunday.

The hit man suffered serious injuries. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, the man sadly died in hospital last Tuesday.

A 23-year-old motorist from Southampton, who was earlier arrested at the scene on suspicion of careless driving, has been released on bail.
