Getting your car washed in a nightclub
Imagine getting your car washed inside a nightclub, while Sisters Sledge or The Village People are blasting from the speakers and disco lights are flashing from all sides. In a Dutch car wash near Rotterdam this party goes down every evening.
“It is a nice bonus experience,” says BOB’s branch manager Jeffrey Wesdorp to local newspaper AD. “The reactions from our customers are raving”, he adds.
In terms of music, they mainly play a mix of disco, house and Top 40 hits. But the ultimate car wash song, according to Wesdorp, is without a doubt “Working at the car wash” by Rose Royce.
Post-covid
The idea for the Disco Wash originated during the corona period. It should be a nice experience for the whole family, we read in the local newspaper.
Because the disco was bringing in twice as many customers as during a normal wash, BOB Autowas gave the Disco Wash a permanent character.
The Disco Wash goes down every evening between 6 and 8 p.m. at BOB Autowas in Schiedam, a suburb of Rotterdam.
