Circle K grows to 400 stations in Poland
With their latest opening late last month, Circle K has expanded its fuel retail network in Poland up to 400 locations. The new site is located in Wozniki. It’s part of the retailer’s ongoing growth strategy to extend its footprint across the country.
The branded fuel retail network in Poland is composed of 275 company-operated sites and 125 franchised locations. Many Circle K stations also offer car washes.
The company said it has plans to further expand nationwide in the next few years by opening own and franchised sites. Circle K also wants to develop its convenience format as well as offering more e-mobility support.
Attractive market
“Poland remains an attractive market for the Alimentation Couche-Tard group”, said Sigitas Raila, CEO at Circle K Poland. “What’s more, using our owner’s experience, we are constantly trying to introduce new solutions, such as self-service cash registers and an automatic fuel payment system.”
Last year the company reached a record in new station openings, with a total of 20 locations opened under the franchise model and two owned and operated by the brand. Currently, the network in Poland is composed of 400 stations. Of this, 275 are owned and 125 are franchised stations.
Circle K has been present on the Polish market since 1992. Since 2012, the company has been owned by Canadian company Alimentation Couche-Tard, one of the world’s largest retailers.
