Driver falls asleep behind wheel at London car wash
Either it was the most tedious car wash experience in the world or something else was going on in London this week, where a man fell asleep behind the wheel in a local car wash.
Police responded to a call from a car wash in the western part of the English capital, shortly after midnight last Tuesday. The report mentioned ‘an unresponsive man’ in his car.
A witness saw the vehicle stop at the car wash and went over to knock on the car’s window, police said. When the driver remained unresponsive, the witness called the authorities.
Officers found a man asleep in the driver seat of the vehicle near the exit of the car wash, police said. Officers woke up the man and arrested him without incident.
The man was taken to hospital as a precaution, police said. No injuries were reported.
Investigators say the man was prohibited from driving at the time of the incident. Alcohol misuse is suspected. He’s due in court next month.
