Lamborghini  crashes in Australian car wash

How did this happen? That’s what we would like to know, after we read about an Australian driver who crashed his expensive Lamborghini into a car wash.

According to 7 News, the accident happened in the Gold Coast suburb of Bundall at 6.30pm on Sunday. Video footage of the scene showing major carnage left behind after the driver charged across a garden bed right into the pole, which eventually snapped in half.

The driver most likely mistakenly stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake, a costly mistake which is immediately punished by this Italian sports car.

$800,000

According to Australian sources there are only 10 of these vehicles on the entire continent. Now there will probably be one less because it seems unlikely the $800,000-car can be fully repaired.

The 40-year-old driver from Queensland was treated for minor injuries by first responders. According to the police the man wasn’t speeding at the time of the crash and was using the car wash prior to the incident.

The car wash on Ashmore Road lost power during the incident and was forced to close. It has since then reopened.
