Woman escapes after car wash catches fire
A fire broke out in a hand car wash in Brussels last weekend. Since there was an appartment above the shop, firefighters responded quickly. They managed to get the woman who was living there to safety.
The fire broke out at a hand car wash in the Leon Delacroix street in the Anderlecht district, reports Belgian news platform HLN. The carwash was on the first floor of a two-story building. The occupant on the floor above was brought to safety using an aerial ladder.
The heat from the fire prevented the gate that gave access to the carwash from being opened. To extinguish the fire, firefighters cut a hole in the gate. What caused the fire remains unclear to date.
