13-year-old Tyler runs a thriving car wash business

A 13-year-old boy from Great Britain is “extremely happy” with how it’s going with his new car washing and valeting business. He started his company about a month ago in the small town of Mepal, just north of Cambridge.

Initially inspired by a YouTube video, college student Tyler Rayner launched TJs Washes mid march. “I love cars and I loved watching a YouTuber called Chris Fix who a few years ago made a video about how to clean a car properly,” said Tyler to local newspaper Elystandard. “It gave me the inspiration to start my own car cleaning and valeting business.”

Home made chocolates

It was not the first business idea he head. Tyler also thought about making homemade chocolates. But he soon realized there is more profit cleaning dirty cars, after he saw a few drive past his home every day.
Tyler took the matters quite seriously. He first made a business plan and then told his parents and his grandma about it.

Investor

Grandma also turned out to be the initial investor in the brand-new company. She paid for the cleaning products and a pressure washer, according to Tyler.
At first business was slow. But after a couple of days he managed to clean three to four cars. Right now, things have leveled off a bit. He usually cleans two cars a day and ‘is already in profit’.
