Kärcher invests 60 million euros in German locations

Kärcher is investing 60 million euros in the expansion of the logistics center, the factory in Bühlertal and a new service center. The investment is intended to strengthen the company’s regional structures.

The logistics center has been expanded since October with an investment of 15 million euros. The warehouse is being expanded so that the existing storage capacities can be tripled and goods can be transhipped even faster. The renovation should be operational in the autumn of 2022.

A new high-bay warehouse for production equipment for high-pressure and steam cleaners is also being built at the Brühal plant, and Kärcher is investing 14 million euros here. At the world’s largest Kärcher site, a further 13 million euros is invested in these production categories. The aim is to modernize production.

Service center

Finally, a new central service center is being built in the municipality of Ahorn. The new building has been designed in such a way that further extensions are possible in the future. The capacities will be significantly expanded compared to the old location in Gissigheim. At the new location, employees from ten European countries will be responsible for repair and maintenance .

“These investments make an important contribution to strengthening the regional structures and the future viability of our German sites. They give our employees in Obersontheim and in the Main-Tauber district clear prospects for the future,” says Hartmut Jenner, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alfred Kärcher SE & Co. KG.
