Car wash becomes après-ski nightclub
The indoor space at the Belgian Cristal Carwash in Temse will be transformed into an après-ski nightclub, coming saturday. The party hopefully ignites the mood for carnival, a big anual thing in Belgium and parts of Catholic Europe.
The après-ski party – to be held on Feb. 4 – is an idea of Charlotte Cooman, the daughter of Cristal Carwash’s owner. Newspaper Nieuwsblad.be writes about Cooman. A few years ago, she already organized a party in honor of her father’s 50th birthday. “The desire to throw another party was very strong and the three of us came up with the idea of throwing an après-ski party,” Charlotte told the Belgian newspaper. “With carnival coming up, this seemed like the ideal concept for us to get into the mood.”
Après-ski music
The tunnel of car wash Cristal has a large covered area which will be converted to a nightclub. “We don’t want it to be cheap or sleazy,” says co-organizer Sander Tempels. “That’s why we put extra effort into decorating the venue.” Après-ski music will be provided by Tielens & D’Haeze and DJ F.R.A.N.K.
Food trucks will also be present.
Some 600 tickets are available, via Après-Ski Bar Temse’s Facebook page and at the box office.
