Clean car in autumn important for road safety
The year is slowly coming to an end and days are getting shorter. For motorists, driving time starts again at dusk, during rain and on slippery roads. Just as the ANWB reminds drivers each year to change their winter tyres, carwashes should focus on washing as their contribution to road safety.
Clear visibility is important for road safety. In the summer, dirt accumulates on the inside of the windows, which is not noticeable when you drive the car every day. At the same time, when exposed to light, this dirt restricts vision. It is therefore a worthwhile recommendation that at the beginning of autumn, if you do a lot of driving at dusk, don’t forget to clean the windscreen thoroughly.
Carwashes would do well to include a reference to autumn in their own marketing. Tips from experts can be optimally positioned in the newsletter and in the messages on the socials, for example. If an autumn car wash campaign is planned, it might be a good idea to hand out a cleaning cloth for cleaning the inside of the window, as an extra.
Carwashes that also work with a cleaning service or autospa can use autumn to make a direct connection between the segments in the sales conversation with the customer. Think of a trial offer for the autumn to inform customers about the range of services offered in addition to the car wash.
