Florida couple gets married in car wash
One Florida couple started off their new marriage squeaky clean. They decided to get married in a local car wash!
In a 2-minute clip aired on American tv-channel News4Jax (where one of the newlyweds works), the joyous couple Bruce and Ingrid are seen seated in the front seat of their car, while a marriage officiant is perched behind them.
The Florida lovebirds, who met at a speed dating event in Jacksonville, opted out of the traditional formal wedding attire and wore casual clothes.
They decided to start with a “clean” slate and landed on a simple, unique option: the car wash. According to Bruce (64) his partner Ingrid (61) gets her car washed almost daily, so it’s an important place for her.
He also said the idea suited them because they love to think outside of the box and have one-of-a-kind experiences!
Soap and colored lights
The unconventional ceremony featured colored lights beaming into the vehicle, soap suds sliding down the windows, and loud sounds from the wash tools banging against the “venue,” which sometimes overpowered the couple’s vows.
While exchanging vows, the pair kept their black sunglasses on, appearing excited if overwhelmed as they tried to remember to look both at the camera and each other.
It was not disclosed which car wash was used for the ceremony.
