Driver dies after getting trapped in car wash
A man has suffered fatal injuries after a visit to a rollover car wash in the Spanish town of GandĂa, last weekend. It is not exactly clear how the accident occurred.
According to news site Teller, the driver got stuck in the machine on Sunday afternoon in an in-bay automatic near the regional road CV-670. He suffered fatal head and chest injuries in the tragedy.
The car wash _of which the name is not disclosed_ is situated in GandĂa, a popular tourist resort between the cities of Valencia and Alicante.
Firefighters found the driver unconscious and without a pulse when they arrived and discovered him trapped between his vehicle and the metal car wash structure. They tried to revive him at the scene by performing CPR on him but were sadly unsuccessful.
The dead man, whose nationality has not yet been made public, has been described as a 71-year-old. It was not immediately clear how he had got trapped. Authorities will start an investigation into his death.
